At Key Stage 3 we develop your child’s natural talents and encourage them to explore the broad range of academic and co-curricular activities that are on offer.

Lessons are delivered in small class sizes so that we can focus on every individuals’ needs.

We ensure that our pupils are able to make well-informed and appropriate choices for IGCSE at the end of this Key Stage through our orientation sessions that take place in the January of Year 9.

The Key Stage 3 programme provides a solid foundation on which to build at Key Stage 4, when pupils begin to study for IGCSE. Our curriculum develops pupils’ abilities to absorb, discern and assimilate knowledge, to make connections between subjects and across the broad curriculum we offer.

All pupils have lessons in: English, Mathematics, Science, Design and Technology, Computer Science, Art, Speech Drama and Theatre, Spanish, French, Mandarin, History, Physical Education, Music, Bahasa, PSHE & Geography.

For those pupils joining us with little English, high quality English as an Additional Language (EAL) lessons will be delivered by our team of experienced and dedicated teachers to ensure that pupils progress quickly and can fully engage with our College community both in and outside the classroom.

Our pupils learn how to learn, to accept and overcome challenge in small groups led by dedicated and highly qualified staff.

We foster a caring and highly supportive learning environment where every child matters. We value our pupils as individuals, and build strong relationships with them, ensuring that they have access to all that they require to thrive and progress as young learners. Their wellbeing is paramount at all times.

Pupils at Key Stage 3 are able to explore a vast array of co-curricular opportunities to broaden their horizons. From martial arts to debating; from the rugby pitch to the swimming pool, our pupils will experience the expertise of highly skilled professionals within and beyond the Epsom community.
