This week, Year 12 Fast Track Chemistry students took part in an engaging and hands-on lesson using molecular modelling kits to construct models of isomers in organic chemistry. Students explored the fascinating world of alkanes, experiencing first-hand the free rotation of bonds and visualising the various structures of organic compounds, concepts that can often seem abstract in theory.
The lesson was a wonderful blend of creativity and collaboration, allowing students to work together to deepen their understanding of complex chemical structures. It was the perfect way to end the week, showcasing the dynamic learning environment and Epsom’s commitment to fostering both academic and personal growth in our students.
