Five Year 11 students, Nexus K., Emira M., Nurul A., Ezra A., and Vamitra K., attended a Sustainability Conference at Nexus International School on 10 March. The event brought together students from different schools to learn more about global sustainability challenges and to collaborate, network and exchange ideas on how young people can contribute to positive environmental change.
Throughout the day, students participated in workshops, explored sustainability booths, and listened to an inspiring keynote address by YB Nik Nazmi Bin Nik Ahmad, which highlighted the importance of youth engagement in protecting the environment. They also took part in enrichment sessions focused on conservation and global environmental initiatives.
Our students proudly represented the school by presenting Epsom’s “Using Less Paper” initiative, explaining how small behavioural changes within the school community can contribute to more sustainable practices. The conference provided a valuable opportunity for them to broaden their understanding of sustainability issues while connecting with other students who share a passion for creating a more sustainable future.
