We are grateful for the opportunity to represent Epsom College Malaysia as Heads of College for 2025–2026. In preparation for the next academic year, we have already begun organising events alongside our prefect team. These early experiences have equipped us with valuable leadership tools that will support us in the future. Taking on this role has also presented a number of challenges, requiring us to adapt and grow as leaders.
Since stepping into our roles, we have worked closely with the prefects and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on several celebrations. We first coordinated an assembly dedicated to Teachers’ Day. In Term 3, our team will be involved in key school events such as the Arts Festival, Graduation, and Speech Day. Additionally, we are excited to support two projects proposed by our new prefects: Tropic Like It’s Hot and the Epsom Charity Electone Concert. Beyond raising funds for charity, these projects aim to create enjoyable moments and lasting memories for staff and students alike. While continuing some of the initiatives from this year’s prefects, we are also committed to bringing fresh creativity to the Epsom community through our own projects.
With a new Head of School and new teachers joining Epsom, we recognise that our community is entering a period of transition. We understand the importance of adaptability and open-mindedness, especially within our diverse prefect team. As Heads of College, we will play a key role in uniting ideas and perspectives to create initiatives that benefit the entire school community.
Looking ahead, our prefects will focus on meaningful projects aligned with their areas of responsibility, projects that not only address current needs but also leave a lasting impact. Our goal is to develop initiatives that create a legacy and can be sustained in the years to come.
As Heads of College for 2025–2026, we aim to offer not only fun and meaningful activities, but also genuine support for students across all aspects of school life. As role models, the prefect team is committed to leading by example and enhancing the school experience for both students and staff at Epsom.
