What a vibrant and memorable year it has been in the Prep School! From academic triumphs to community spirit and unforgettable performances, 2024–2025 has given us much to celebrate.
Our Accelerated Reader programme has continued to inspire a love of reading, with eight students achieving Word Millionaire status. A special congratulations goes to Jiyun C. in Year 6, who read an incredible three million words to become our Word Multimillionaire!
Mathematics has also been a focus this year. Our Year 5 and 6 maths teams proudly represented Epsom at KTJ, Marlborough College, KH8, and the British School Jakarta, while 29 students from Years 1–6 tackled the Kangaroo Maths Challenge with enthusiasm and determination.
In November, our students showed resilience and compassion by taking part in the Resilience Run Rally. Their efforts raised a staggering RM13,161 for Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim dan Miskin Semarak (PKAYMS), helping children in need within our Nilai community.
Sporting success was another highlight, particularly in February, when our U11 Prep team swept the board at the KTJ Games, winning both the swimming and T-Ball competitions!
March brought innovation and curiosity during our exciting STEAM Week, which concluded with an impressive STEAM Fair, where students shared their projects and inventions with parents and peers.
Book Week in April was another standout event. On Shakespeare’s 461st birthday, we marked World Book Day by dressing up as beloved literary characters and celebrating the joy of storytelling across the school.
Our Prep parents have been a constant support throughout the year, joining us to celebrate festivals, Culture Day, and Book Day, always giving their time generously.
Creativity and performance have flourished on stage, with students participating in events for Deepavali, Christmas, the Spring Festival, Hari Raya, Oliver!, music recitals, and a Shakespeare Short performance for the Arts Festival.
Finally, House Competitions kept the energy high throughout the year, with events ranging from chanting to lip syncing, paper aeroplanes to variety shows, all culminating in our annual Sports Festival and a flurry of house points.
Here’s to a year of learning, laughter, and lasting memories in Prep!
