International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP)
Guided by the IB Learner Profile, the IBCP nurtures principled, inquisitive, and resilient students. This holistic approach ensures graduates are exceptionally prepared for both top-tier universities and the global workplace
At the heart of the Epsom IBCP are three specialised pathways: Engineering, Business, and Sport. Each route combines internationally recognised BTEC vocational qualifications with selected IB Diploma subjects, such as Mathematics, Computer Science, or Psychology, ensuring students gain deep technical expertise without sacrificing academic breadth.
Central to the programme is the CP Core, which bridges academic and applied learning through four key pillars:
- Personal and Professional Skills (PPS): Developing real-world attributes like ethical reasoning and effective communication.
- Service Learning: Engaging in meaningful community projects.
- Language Development: Enhancing intercultural understanding through an additional language.
- Reflective Project: An in-depth, independent research piece exploring ethical dilemmas within a student’s chosen career field.
By fostering critical thinking and resilience, the IBCP empowers Epsom students to become principled, globally-minded learners ready to lead in an interconnected world.
