IGCSE Choices
IGCSE Subjects at Year 10
At the start of Year 10, students will begin their IGCSE studies, which offer a broad and balanced curriculum. They will study a combination of compulsory and optional subjects, leading to the IGCSE examinations at the end of Year 11. The subject choices are designed to cater to a wide range of interests and abilities, helping to prepare students for future academic and career paths.
Compulsory Subjects
English
All students will study English Language (either as a first or second language), with the option to also study English Literature.
Mathematics
Students develop key mathematical skills for further study and gain confidence in applying concepts to solve problems.
Sciences
All students will study three sciences: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The Science departments regularly review the courses to ensure they meet the needs of our students and may offer Dual or Single Science IGCSEs for selected students.
Bahasa Melayu
This subject is compulsory for Malaysian students.
Optional IGCSE Subjects
Students will select three optional subjects at the end of Year 9, following guidance sessions designed to assist with choosing the best options.
