LALIGA Highlights: A Year in Review 2024/2025 Season

As the 2024/2025 season draws to a close, we reflect with pride on a remarkable year of growth, competition, and development at LALIGA ACADEMY Malaysia. From new beginnings to international exposure, our players have experienced a journey defined by commitment, progress, and passion for the game.

The season kicked off with the official launch of our programme, designed to blend elite football training with academic excellence. Throughout the year, players across all age groups have benefited from a personalised methodology focused on technical, tactical, physical, and psychological development.

In January, we reaffirmed our commitment to holistic education with the LALIGA vs Bullying campaign, promoting respect and inclusion both on and off the pitch. On the competitive front, our teams made their mark in the ECiM Youth League, securing top spots in several age categories and gaining vital experience through friendly matches against local and international schools.

Despite the challenges of Ramadan and exam seasons, our players continued to train and compete with discipline and enthusiasm. March saw exceptional performances in the first edition of the ECiM Youth League, with the U14 team crowned champions and the U10 and U17 squads finishing as runners-up.

In April, our academy deepened partnerships with football institutions across the region, laying the groundwork for international opportunities. This culminated in May with the hosting of the inaugural JSE International Football Festival at Epsom College, where our U17 boys finished second among 36 teams from across Asia. The event attracted over 1,500 spectators and reinforced our reputation as a leading football academy in the region.

Training sessions have remained consistent throughout the year, steadily building our players’ technical base and tactical understanding. With a stronger foundation in place, we are now ready to take the next step.

Looking Ahead: 2025/2026

With the aim of further enhancing our programme, we are pleased to announce several key updates for the upcoming academic year:

  • Reduced Fees & Greater Flexibility: Lower fees and more training options—available by term and per number of weekly sessions—allow players to better balance academic and sporting demands.
  • Revised Timetable: Training schedules now align fully with academic requirements, including adjusted school bus timings and prep-friendly slots.
  • Expanded Competition Calendar: Players will have access to more frequent and prestigious competitions across all age groups.
  • Improved Physical Development: New strength and conditioning sessions for U12–U19 will further enhance performance on the back of a solid technical-tactical base.
  • Prep School Programme Launch: Our new prep-school programme will build passion and belonging from an early age through football-centred experiences.
  • Voluntary Holiday Camps: Held during school breaks, these camps will offer extra training opportunities and open the door to elite tournaments with greater exposure—boosting scholarship and career pathways.

We thank all families for their continued support and trust, and we look forward to another successful year ahead—both on the pitch and in the classroom.
