Highlights from Mouratoglou Academy Malaysia (MAM)

As the competition calendar slowed down over the past month, it provided a valuable opportunity for our players to focus on one of the most important aspects of long-term development: training. While tournament activity was limited during this period, it proved highly productive as our student-athletes remained at the academy, dedicating time to technical refinement, physical preparation and tactical development.

Periods such as these are an important part of any high-performance programme. They allow players to step away from the demands of constant competition and invest in the areas that will support their success during the busiest stages of the season. Throughout May, our coaching team worked closely with the players on technical improvements, movement efficiency, tactical awareness and the development of stronger habits both on and off the court.

With an exciting summer schedule approaching, including numerous UTR, ATF and ITF tournaments across the region, the focus has been on ensuring every athlete is physically prepared, mentally resilient and technically equipped to perform at their highest level. The coming months will provide plenty of opportunities for our players to test themselves against strong competition and continue progressing along their individual pathways.

While results are often measured through wins and rankings, months like this serve as an important reminder that meaningful improvement frequently takes place away from the spotlight. The commitment, discipline and work ethic displayed by our players throughout these training blocks have laid a strong foundation for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

We now look forward to an exciting and competitive summer season and are eager to see our student-athletes showcase the progress they have made on both the regional and international stage.
