Highlights from Mouratoglou Academy Malaysia (MAM)

At Mouratoglou Academy Malaysia (MAM) at Epsom College Malaysia, our commitment to structured development, purposeful competition, and international exposure continues to shape confident and competitive student-athletes. February was another exciting month, marked by strong performances across UTR, regional ATF events, and ITF international tournaments.

UTR February Tournament

In February, MAM hosted another successful UTR event, welcoming a total of 95 players to compete across multiple categories. The tournament provided valuable match exposure for athletes of different levels and reinforced the importance of regular competitive opportunities within our development pathway.

Our players delivered outstanding results:

  • Taishi K. – Junior 2 (UTR 2.5–4.5) Champion
  • Antonio D. – Junior 1 (UTR 4.5–6) Champion
  • Jacob W. – Open Category 1 (UTR 7 & Above) Champion
  • Sirui J. – Junior 3 (UTR 1–2.5) Runner-Up
  • An K. – Junior 2 (UTR 2.5–4.5) Quarter-finalist (retired due to ankle sprain)
  • Daniel C. (three-week camper) – Junior Pro 1 Finalist

These results reflect the depth of our programme, from developing juniors to high-performance athletes competing in the open division.

ATF 14&U Seremban

At the ATF 14&U tournament in Seremban, our players gained valuable regional experience against strong competition:

  • Mei U. – 5th Place
  • Jacob W. – 9th Place
  • Seina M. – 13th place
  • Matthieu F. – 13th place

Competing in ATF events provides crucial exposure to higher-intensity match play and supports long-term progression toward international junior competition.

ITF J30 Sri Lanka (Week 2 & Week 3)

On the international stage, MAM players competed at the ITF J30 Sri Lanka, gaining valuable ITF ranking opportunities and global experience. Highlights include:

  • Shivali G. – Singles Runner-Up (Week 3)
  • Haqim K. – Singles Semi-finalist (Week 2 & Week 3)
  • Shivali G. & Ha-An P. – Doubles Champions

These performances demonstrate the players’ growing maturity, resilience, and ability to compete consistently across consecutive international events.

As we move further into the competitive season, MAM remains focused on providing structured training, meaningful competition, and international pathways that allow each athlete to progress with confidence and purpose.
