We are proud to share the outstanding achievement of our U16 team at the prestigious JSSL Singapore 7’s 2026 international tournament, held last week. Competing against top-level academies from across Asia, our players secured an excellent 3rd place finish, narrowly missing out on a spot in the final by one goal. Throughout the tournament, the team consistently demonstrated a strong competitive spirit and embodied the key values that define our programme, such as effort, sacrifice, teamwork and resilience.
Despite the challenges faced during the competition, the players showed great character by overcoming obstacles and supporting one another both on and off the pitch. Beyond the sporting success, the experience also provided a memorable opportunity for team bonding, creating a positive and lasting sense of unity among all members of the squad.
Now that Term 3 has officially begun, we would also like to highlight the exciting competition calendar ahead. Over the coming weeks, we will host the second edition of the ECM Youth League, running across four weeks for the U9, U11, U13 and U16 categories. This will be followed by the ECM AGES League, which will take place over seven consecutive weeks and will include U9, U11, U13, U15 and U19 categories.
These leagues are open to all Epsom students who wish to participate. The primary objective is to encourage regular competition and enjoyment of football within a structured and supportive environment. Matches will take place on Saturday and Sunday mornings at Epsom, promoting active and healthy lifestyles while ensuring a balance with academic commitments.
All fixtures will be hosted on campus. Should any students or families not have received this information and wish to participate, please do not hesitate to contact the LALIGA Academy Malaysia team. Once teams are formed, registration will remain open until the end of the league to allow as many students as possible to take part.
