Crawfurd House is one of Epsom’s girls’ houses

Crawfurd House is named after a former Dean of the Medical Department of King’s College, London, Sir Raymond Henry Payne Crawfurd, who joined the Council of Epsom College in 1915. The House is conveniently located close to the Dining Hall, Sports Centre and all academic departments. The House occupies rooms on four floors in purpose-built accommodation.

The girls are considerate, honest, respectful and happy, full of energy, enthusiasm and House spirit. Along with formal academic and co-curricular learning, girls develop qualities such as integrity, compassion, respect and responsibility as part of the House community.

Emma Stonebridge

Crawfurd Housemistress

Ms Emma Stonebridge, Crawfurd Housemistress and SEN Teacher at Epsom College Malaysia, brings valuable experience in boarding, pastoral care and supporting students with additional learning needs. Before joining Epsom, she taught at Downe House School, where she developed a strong understanding of the academic and personal support required within a leading British boarding school environment. A graduate of the University of Nottingham, Ms Stonebridge has taught Learning Skills and Latin. She also holds a Level 5 Diploma in Teaching Children with Specific Learning Difficulties, strengthening her ability to understand individual learning profiles and provide thoughtful, targeted support that helps students build confidence and make meaningful progress. As Crawfurd Housemistress, she is committed to creating a warm and supportive boarding environment where every student feels known, valued and encouraged to thrive. Outside school, she enjoys running and travelling.
