It has been a spectacular year for Performing Arts at Epsom, with students from across the school showcasing their talents in a rich variety of events. From large-scale productions to intimate performances, 2024–25 has been a celebration of creativity, collaboration and community – fitting for our 10th Anniversary year.
The year began with a triumphant House Music Competition, one of the most anticipated events in the school calendar. Holman claimed victory in the Junior category while Crawfurd took the Senior title, with performances that demonstrated musicianship, energy and teamwork. This was followed by a series of festive performances in December: a joyful Prep School Christmas Concert, a fun Senior School Concert, and public performances by Prep students at IOI City Mall and Nilai Aeon, spreading cheer to the wider community.
Our 10th Anniversary Gala Concert brought the whole school together in what many have called the best concert ever held at Epsom. Featuring soloists, ensembles and combined choirs, it was a powerful reminder of the talent and dedication within our community. Throughout the year, students also performed in three Open Mic Nights, four Lunchtime Live recitals, two Sunset Serenades, and a lively Instrumental Music Competition.
Younger students shone in our themed Prep Recitals and a hugely successful production of Oliver! Junior the Musical, while the Prep School House Music Competition gave our youngest musicians a chance to shine. A series of engaging Drama Workshops also gave students across year groups the opportunity to develop their performance skills, explore new styles, and build confidence through improvisation and ensemble work.
The Epsom Chamber Orchestra has also seen remarkable development this year. Their growing reputation led to invitations to perform at several high-profile events, including the Friends of Epsom Tea Party, the Malaysian Headteachers Conference, and the Pearson Edexcel High Achievers Awards. These performances have not only raised the profile of music at Epsom but have also given our students the chance to perform for distinguished audiences beyond the school community.
We round off the year with the Epsom Arts Festival, a week-long celebration of creative expression across the College.
As we reflect on the year, we celebrate not only what our students have achieved, but also the culture of creativity and confidence that continues to grow across our school. Here’s to another decade of performance and progress.
