Dear LALIGA Academy Malaysia Families,
First and foremost, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all our parents and players for the incredible support you continue to give us year after year. Your trust allows us to share our passion for football while supporting the development of our players, both on and off the pitch.
This season, we have experienced almost 30% growth in the academy, which is fantastic news and a reflection of the confidence that our families continue to place in our programme. Naturally, such growth has brought some challenges during the first few weeks, particularly when organising training groups according to age and ability. Our priority has always been to find the most efficient and effective structure possible, ensuring that every player can enjoy their football, learn, develop and make the most of the resources available to us.
Unfortunately, over the past few weeks we have also faced periods of poor air quality as a result of the situation in Indonesia. This has meant that, on certain occasions, we have been unable to train outdoors. While this is not the environment we would ideally choose, we see it as an opportunity to adapt and continue providing meaningful sessions. Our indoor training has therefore been focused more heavily on technical development, allowing players to work on their individual skills, ball mastery, decision-making and creativity in a different environment.
Looking ahead, we are particularly excited about what this season can bring.
One of our main objectives is to increase our participation in national and international tournaments, giving our players the opportunity to test themselves against different teams, experience new football environments and, most importantly, enjoy the game beyond their regular training sessions.
Among the competitions we are looking forward to participating in are the Liga Suparimau, Milo Cup, Borneo Football Cup, JSSL Singapore 7’s and other tournaments throughout the season.
Please keep a close eye on all communications regarding these events. Each tournament has specific registration deadlines and requirements, and it is essential that these are respected. Unfortunately, players who do not complete the required steps within the established deadlines may not be able to participate.
We truly believe that football is about much more than what happens during a training session. It is about learning, challenging yourself, building friendships, developing character and creating memories that stay with you. Our ambition is to continue growing together and to provide our players with an increasingly exciting and enriching football experience.
At the same time, we remain committed to ensuring that everything we do is adapted to the educational and sporting context of Epsom College Malaysia, maintaining the balance between high-quality football development, enjoyment and the values that are at the heart of our academy.
Thank you once again for your continued trust, patience and support. We are incredibly excited about the journey ahead and, most importantly, about sharing it with all of you.
