This term has been a truly special one in Holman House, marked by outstanding house spirit, genuine acts of kindness, and a real sense of unity among the boys. From memorable trips and competitions to everyday moments of support and teamwork, the boys have shown what it truly means to be part of the Holman family.
At the heart of Holman House is the word Ohana, meaning family – and this term, the boys have embodied that spirit in everything they do. Whether it has been older boys guiding younger ones, students helping each other through academic pressures, or countless acts of daily kindness, Holman has felt like a place where everyone belongs. Ohana reminds us that family means no one gets left behind, and this ethos continues to define our house identity.
Our House Spirit trip to SplashMania was a standout highlight, giving the boys the chance to bond, recharge, and simply enjoy time together. From cheering each other on down the slides to sharing laughs during the wave pool, the day captured the energetic, joyful nature of Holman House.
We also ended the term with a fantastic joint celebration with Carr House, complete with pizza, football, tug of war, and karaoke. The friendly rivalry and even friendlier teamwork made it a memorable evening for everyone.
Holman House shone brightly in this term’s House Basketball competition, winning all of our matches and demonstrating brilliant teamwork, discipline, and resilience. The boys played with heart and represented Holman with pride, showing amazing effort and unity throughout the tournament.
As we reach the end of a vibrant and rewarding term, I am immensely proud of every boy in Holman House. Their spirit, kindness, and commitment to each other have made this an unforgettable start to the year. I wish all families a wonderful break, and wish a very Happy Christmas to those who are celebrating. I look forward to building on this incredible momentum next term and throughout 2026.
