Highlights of Term 3

Term Break Excitement!
March was an exciting month for Mouratoglou Tennis Academy (MTA) at Epsom, but April was even better. The first two weeks of April marked our term break, and many students returned home to spend quality time with their families and loved ones.
However, for those enrolled in the MTA programme, some students chose to remain on-site and continue their training. This shows the dedication, motivation, and passion our athletes have to improve their game and achieve better results.
To close out the term break, we hosted our UTR Weekend Tournament on 12–13 April 2025.
UTR Weekend Inferno Open Tournament at Epsom College in Malaysia!
MTA @ Epsom proudly hosted the third UTR Weekend Inferno Prestige Tournament on 12–13 April 2025, just before school resumed. The tournament followed two weeks of intensive holiday training, giving our players the perfect opportunity to put their hard work into action.
This two-day event was a tremendous success, attracting 77 players, each of whom played at least three competitive matches.
We’re thrilled to announce that our MTA players delivered outstanding performances across several categories:

Easing Back into Routine: Balancing Student Well-being
As the term break ended, students began settling back into their usual routine of school and training. However, returning to a demanding academic and athletic schedule after a break can be challenging for many. Recognising this, our coaches made a superb effort to support the students not just physically, but also mentally and emotionally.
To help ease the transition and prevent burnout, the coaching team adopted a more balanced approach during the first week back. They reviewed each student’s schedule individually, exploring ways to balance tennis sessions, mobility work, conditioning, and light fitness training. The students also engaged in match analysis, game strategy discussions, and video reviews. This allowed them to stay mentally sharp while gradually readjusting to a full training load.
By prioritising both the development and well-being of student-athletes, MTA @ Epsom continues to foster a healthy, sustainable environment where young athletes can thrive.
