As we begin Term 2, it is lovely to reflect on the joyful end to Term 1 and the many special moments we shared in Carr together. Our Christmas celebrations were a real highlight, particularly the much-loved 12 Days of Christmas singing tradition, which brought plenty of laughter and festive spirit to our Christmas dinner celebration. The Secret Santa gift exchange was another memorable moment, and it was wonderful to see the boys proudly dressed up in their finery, enjoying the occasion and celebrating together.
This term has already begun with great energy and enthusiasm. The boys have shown excellent participation across a range of activities, including the maths competition, hockey fixtures, and the chess competition, demonstrating teamwork, commitment, and a willingness to challenge themselves.
Looking ahead, we are excited to continue developing the boys’ independence and confidence. A key focus this term will be encouraging them to take greater ownership within the house, including delivering weekly group assemblies during house time. This will provide valuable opportunities for leadership, communication, and personal growth.
We would also like to extend a very warm welcome to our new boys joining boarding this term. We are delighted to have you with us and are very much looking forward to seeing new friendships form and to all that this term has in store.
