A Milestone in Food Safety Excellence

We are pleased to share that the school’s kitchen and dining provision has officially received certification for HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) in accordance with the Codex Alimentarius General Principles of Food Hygiene CXC 1-1969 (2022), effective 25 November 2025. This reflects our continued commitment to the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and operational excellence across all on-campus catering services.

What the HACCP Approval Means
HACCP is an internationally recognised food safety management system developed under the Codex Alimentarius Commission, jointly supported by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). The system focuses on identifying, evaluating, and controlling food safety hazards at every stage of food handling, from sourcing and preparation through to cooking, service, and storage.

This certification confirms that our kitchens, processes, documentation, and staff practices meet rigorous international benchmarks. It also demonstrates that food safety at the school is managed proactively and systematically, rather than reactively, with clearly defined controls and continuous monitoring in place.

Why This Matters to Our Community
For students, staff, and our community, this provides assurance that meals served on campus are prepared in a safe, controlled, and hygienic environment. It strengthens allergen management, reduces food safety risks, and ensures consistency in daily operations. Importantly, it also reinforces our duty of care, placing student wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.

Looking Ahead
This milestone is not an endpoint, but part of an ongoing journey. Maintaining HACCP standards requires continual training, regular reviews, and a culture of accountability across our catering teams. We are proud of this achievement, particularly as we are one of the few international schools in Malaysia with direct certification, and remain committed to upholding and improving these standards in the years to come, ensuring that our school continues to provide safe, nutritious, and high-quality meals for the whole community.
