What does Round Square mean and what does it mean to be a Round Square school?

Epsom College in Malaysia (ECiM) is the very first school in Malaysia to gain Global membership. For ECiM this means we now are connected to and have access to over 200 top independent schools on five continents for exchanges, conferences and service projects. Membership of Round Square (RS) also allows teachers to network with other teachers around the globe on various initiatives.

Last year, ECiM welcomed six exchange pupils in from Canada, India, Australia, South Africa, and Peru. These pupils come to the College for up to a term and fully immerse themselves in all things offered. We sent out eight pupils on exchange to Tasmania, Alice Springs and Ballarat, Australia

We hosted a Regional Conference for 10-12 year olds and had ten 10 schools from the Australasian region attending with 100 delegates and will host it again in November of this year. We sent pupils to conferences in Tasmania, Germany and Singapore.

In the 2017-18 academic year we have two staff and 4 pupils heading out this week to a Regional Conference hosted by the International School of Ulaanabaatar in Mongolia and in 2 weeks' time, Mrs Kuster and Mrs Shepley Clarke will take five pupils to Cape Town, South Africa for the International Conference where all 200 schools connect for a week-long conference.

We have numerous upcoming conferences to Bejing, Australia and Thailand and ECiM is keen to have as many staff as possible take part.

Part of being a Round Square school is implementing the six IDEALS into our life at school -
